Braden Swaney is a 2027 OF/LHP with a 6-1 150 lb. frame from Omaha, NE who attends Millard South. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame, long limbs with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.04 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball out front on the approach, works into a shorter arm action through the backside, stays short through release, shows one hop accuracy to the intended base, carry on throws will continue to develop. Also pitched, works to a three-quarters release point on the bump, fastball topped out at 78 mph and worked in the mid-to-upper 70s throughout, mostly true in life while mixing a curveball up t o 65 mph with some shape and adding a changeup at 72 mph. Left-handed hitter, begins with an upright stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing, turns hard and shows quickness to hands. Creates lift at point of contact and shows impact strength to the pull side, repeats it well with some whip to the barrel head. Nice offensive tools.
