Cooper Hansen is a 2024 LHP/OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Riverton, UT who attends Riverton. Medium, high waisted frame with some lean muscle throughout and plenty of room to add strength. Recorded a 7.18 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary left-handed pitcher that worked from an abbreviated windup with a belt high leg lift and athleticism down the slope. Fastball worked in the 79-81 mph range for the majority of his outing, showing plenty of natural arm-side run to it and topped out at 82 mph from a three-quarters arm slot. Proficient strike thrower with good command to all four quadrants of the strike zone. Mixed in a pair of promising secondary offerings with his well-replicated changeup that has parachute action to it and more vertical breaking ball that had good depth to it. Simple, repeatable delivery with feel for three-pitch mix and aptitude to miss bats with present stuff, possesses high upside with additional velocity. Secondary outfielder with athletic actions throughout the fielding process. Displayed clean gather with deliberate pace to it, a smooth transition and maintained momentum into release. Recorded online, accurate throws up to 80 mph during drills. Left-handed hitter that hits from a wider, even based stance with a lower hand set and toe-tap trigger. Simple, tight move into launch, flatter swing path with plenty of present bat speed and some leverage out in-front. Middle-of-the field approach with ability to impact the baseball with authority from gap-to-gap, flashing most power potential to the pullside. Will continue to improve with minor adjustments and additional strength. Fundamentally sound prospect with two-way skills and legitimate upside on the mound. Excellent Student.
