Cal Higgins is a 2021 LHP/ with a 6-5 215 lb. frame from Kearney, NE who attends Kearney. XL frame with very good physicality and strength, ran 60 yard dash in 8.22 seconds. Primary lefthanded pitcher, clean and polished delivery, gets over front side well, repeats mechanics, stays in line down the mound, shorter arm stroke to high three quarters slot, fastball worked 72-76 mph with good running life, shows sweeping slider and depth to curveball as well, good strikes. Hits from spread stance with lower hands set close to body, pull-approach, shows impact-pull side when square. Good student.
