Matthew Belleavoine is a 2022 1B/RHP with a 6-3 225 lb. frame from Greenville, RI who attends Smithfield Senior. Large frame with strong, physical build; ran 60 yard dash in 8.07 seconds. Hits from slightly open stance with high hands and back elbow, loose stroke with some length to it, line drive plane with whole field approach. Worked out at 1B, shows good footwork on the turn, clocked up to 78 mph, hands work well on picks. Also pitched, compact arm stroke through the back, shorter stride into open-toe land, high 3/4 slot, fastball worked 77-80 mph with life, showed curveball with 1/7 shape and sharper SL with good bite as well. Good student.
