Jace Alvino is a 2025 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-3 215 lb. frame from West Babylon, NY who attends West Babylon. Recorded a 5.42 second forty-yard dash time. Strong, physical frame with long levers and plenty of projection. Primary first baseman with athletic actions throughout the fielding process, exhibiting good feel for the position and agile footwork around the bag. Incorporates good usage of his strong lower half to funnel out in front, while delivering accurate throws across the diamond up to 80 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher; full windup delivery with short side-step rocker into a coiled, high leg lift. Incorporates drop and drive lower mechanics to ride the slope out to foot strike. Aggressive mentality, high 3/4's arm slot, short sinking life to the fastball that held its upper-70s velocity throughout his outing. Long, loose arm stroke with good present arm speed and plenty of more velocity in the tank, mixed in developing breaking ball that varied in shape and showed potential as he continues to mature. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly crouched, closed stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and leg lift trigger. Aggressive, intent based swing with long, loose swing path and natural lift to it. Pull-side approach due to the tendency to block off his front side but does exhibit present bat speed and power potential when on-time. Slightly complex swing pattern with high upside as he makes adjustments to it. Will continue to improve in all facets of his game as he matures. Interesting prospect with tons of projection remaining. Excellent Student. Named to the 2021 Northeast Indoor Top Prospect List.
