Andrew Bowers is a 2023 3B/ with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Mount Pleasant, SC who attends Oceanside Collegiate. Medium and athletic frame with room to continue to fill out physically. Ran a 7.58 second 60 yard dash. Primary third baseman, worked out in the infield fielding the ball out in front in an athletic position, plenty of mobility with actions, takes a loose arm action into throws with the ability to throw with accuracy from multiple arm angles, really nice round in the infield while topping out at 75 mph across the diamond with plenty of carry to first base. Also pitched, takes a side step up to a belt high leg lift to begin his delivery, arm works back to a clean arm action up to a high ¾ arm slot, fastball topped out at 74 mph, mixed in a knuckleball and curveball that each showed potential. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with an open stance, takes a big stride into contact with a leg lift trigger used for timing, takes an inside hand path to the baseball with an uphill swing plane, shift some weight into contact with lower half, pull approach looking to lift the baseball. Great student.
