Ethan Woolsey is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Escondido, CA who attends Classical Academy. Strong athletic build with good length and physical projection. High energy delivery that creates plenty of deception, fast and loose arm, maintains his arm speed and mechanics very well on all his pitches. True four-pitch mix, fastball topped out at 90 mph with some cutting action at times, threw both a short slider and a big breaking curveball with distinct shape and spin, showed lots of conviction and life on his change up and got outs with the pitch. Good combination of feel and deception on the mound. Very good student. Named to the PG Underclass All-American Games Top Prospect List.
