Connor Bast is a 2026 1B/RHP, C, 3B with a 6-1 245 lb. frame from Hope Mills, NC who attends Grays Creek. Large, broad shouldered frame with present strength throughout, incorporates strength well into overall game. Ran a 7.95 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, shows quickness to hands, deliberate footwork on the turn, fields the ball out front with a wide base, works into a shorter arm action on throws, has carry across the diamond with accuracy. Also pitched, fluid and repeatable delivery on the mound, works to a lower three-quarters slot with a shorter arm action and attacked hitters with fastball, showed some sinking life to it up to 80 mph. Breaking ball comes out from a similar slot, slurve-type finish to it up to 68 mph, shows tilting action to it through the zone. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a higher leg lift for timing in the box. Handsy swing but strength in hands, looks to impact the baseball at point of contact and shows jump off of the barrel when squared. Rotational swing, works on a mostly linear plane with flashes of lift out front, stays short to the ball from launch.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
