Luke Szepek is a 2023 C/IF with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Albany, NY who attends Christian Brothers Academy. Recorded a 7.16 second sixty-yard dash time. Larger frame with lean muscle throughout and plenty of projection remaining. Primary catcher that receives softly from a higher, even based stance with athletic actions out of the crouch and quick mid-line transfers to throw. Extremely athletic movements throughout with above average arm strength and true carry on his throws. Recorded arm strength up to 80 mph during drills, while displaying game like actions to post a 2.01 second pop time. Right-handed hitter that hits from an even based stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Simple, repeatable swing with loose, quick hands and good separation through contact. Advanced approach with good barrel skills and the ability to create line drive impact to all fields. Displayed consistency throughout with emerging power potential that translated well into game action. Projectable, young prospect with quick twitch athleticism, loud tools and plenty of time to expand upon his skill set as he matures. Good Student.
