Dante Cano is a 2022 LHP/1B with a 6-4 210 lb. frame from Abilene, TX who attends Wylie. Big and strong build, especially in the upper half. Works from the stretch, lays his arm back in his takeaway, high 3/4's to over the top arm action, creates big downhill angle to his pitches, will throw hesitations into his delivery for deception. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, gets nice running life at times, tries to work down in the zone and hit spots. Throws a big breaking slow curveball as his secondary pitch to keep hitters off balance. Good student, verbal commitment to Texas Tech.
