Brevin Bezick is a 2024 LHP/OF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Red Bank, NJ who attends Middletown South. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present physical strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.58 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, varies looks on the mound with leg lifts but stays on line with delivery well, works with a clean arm action getting to an over-the-top slot and worked around the zone, generates plane when on top of the pitch. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, attacked hitters with it and able to collect outs, lower effort operation; tends to slow on curveball release up to 70 mph but shows a feel for the pitch. Changeup more refined of two secondaries, nice fading life up to 74 mph and sells it well. Aggressive actions in the outfield on approach to the ball, fields it out front, deliberate actions, maintains direction and plays under control, shows some carry on throws. Left-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; upper body dominant swing, simple mechanics and repeats them well. Stays short to the ball and has strength in hands, gets the barrel out front at point of contact, works to the middle and pull side parts of the field with comfort. Nice tools on both sides.
