Andy Perez is a 2024 SS/RHP/C with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Orange City, FL who attends Lake Mary. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 6.85 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front with two hands, sound footwork and shows fluid actions in his movements, rounds the ball well, compact arm action wtih a quick release, repeats well and shows solid arm strength across the diamond; made a diving catch over the shoulder at second base in live action. Also caught, lower set up behind the plate, same easy arm strength and carry down to second base, repeats actions very well, lots of accuracy to second base. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, keeps hands inside the ball, able to see it deep through the zone. Gets uphill with path at times, can get additional extension out front, best on a linear path, can work to all fields, contact oriented approach. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
