Spencer Margolis is a 2022 OF/RHP with a 5-11 192 lb. frame from Louisville, TN who attends Knoxville Catholic. Medium frame with broad shoulders and present strength. Primary outfielder with deliberate footwork while closing to the baseball. Funnels out front and worked through exchange with developing fluidity. Deep arm circle at separation and released from a three-quarters slot. Throws created some on line carry to the bag topping at 80 mph. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and simple leg lift trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose, extended hand path to baseball with a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Looks to create contact out front while utilizing a mid field approach. Flashed strength at contact with the ability to split the gaps when squared. Also pitched showing a simple rock step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays balance at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Compact arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball came out of hand well producing run to arm side in the mid 70's, topped at 76 mph. Curveball showed 10/5 with solid spin and later depth when maintaining arm speed through finish. Looked to challenge hitters to the bottom of the zone with both offerings. Good student as well.
