Kevin Melendez is a 2019 RHP/MIF/OF with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from Kissimmee, FL who attends Central Pointe Christian HS. Slender young build. Smooth delivery with good pace, lots of flexibility, high 3/4's arm slot, uses his lower half very well, can throw in hesitations and deception while maintaining ball and release slot. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, more velocity there with additional strength, excellent arm side run and sink, very hard to elevate due to consistent location down in zone. Very tight curveball with ability to use and spot the pitch. Has a feel for pitching. Could blossom if he can get stronger.
