Coleman Mayfield is a 2024 LHP/OF with a 6-4 183 lb. frame from Elk City, OK who attends Elk City HS. Extra large frame with long limbs, high waist, and tons of room to project physically. Primary left-handed pitcher who only pitched during the event. Turn step into a leg lift above the belt. Clean arm stroke through the back with a big crossfired landing leg. Gets over the front side very consistently and creates a ton of deception. Repeats mechanics well and has an extremely low effort release. Fastball was up to 90 mph and sat in the upper-80s with plus angle. Pounded the zone with good life and high spin consistently 2400+ rpm. Curveball showed good sweeping action and excellent shape. Curveball has hammer depth and will sharpen up with strength. Turned over a changeup for a whiff that he killed spin on. Three very good pitches with excellent command, strikes, and projection. Verbal commitment to Oklahoma State. Good student.
