Hayden Bruno is a 2019 RHP/1B, OF with a 6-4 175 lb. frame from Mountain Brook, AL who attends Mountain Brook HS. Recorded a 6.99 second 60-yard dash time. Lean build with a prototypical pitcher's frame and lots of room to fill out upon physical maturity. Primary righthanded pitcher with an over the top arm angle and clears his hips nicely. Curveball showed good bite with 11/5 shape and is very devastating when he gets on top of the pitch. Good downhill plane on his fastball up to 87 mph. Will challenge and climb the ladder with the fastball. Longer arm stroke and throws with some intent. Secondary outfielder with a strong arm and solid footwork. Attacks the ball well and gets rid of it quickly and could improve arm strength with additional lower half utilization. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set and a high back elbow. Turns over the inside well and creates some jump and carry off the barrel. Line drive swing plane with a consistent and repeatable swing path. Simple stride into the load and has lots of strength through contact. Named to the 2018 Sunshine Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List.
