Chris Cancel is a 2023 C/UT with a 5-10 135 lb. frame from Staten Island, NY who attends St. Joseph by the Sea. He ran a 7.73 second sixty. A primary catcher with a medium lena build. Behind the plate he plate he showed some quickness with his feet as he gained ground into his throws, he showed a quick short arm action as he gets rid of the ball fast with some carry on his throws and a 2.00 second pop time. Hitting from the right side he starts with an even stance, he showed some feel for the barrel working back up the middle of the field, he projects for more power as he continues to fill out his wiry athletic frame. Excellent student.
