Nick Beetel is a 2020 LHP/OF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Jackson, NJ who attends Jackson Memorial. Medium, square shouldered frame with present strength throughout frame, additional room to fill moving forward. Primary lefthanded pitcher, up-tempo pace to delivery with a high leg lift up past belt; gets tall on backside and maintains balance while incorporating lower half to generate extension down the mound. Medium arm stroke through the back working to a higher slot at release, creates angle when on top of fastball, up to 82 mph, some effort at release. Occasionally opens front side in mechanics but creates some cut action on fastball from release. Mixed a curveball with 1-7 shape with short depth up to 70 mph. Excellent student.
