Andrew Yerzy is a 2016 C/1B with a 6-3 212 lb. frame from Toronto, ON who attends York Mills Collegiate S.S. Outstanding physical build, very strong, pretty mature physically, looks to be one of the stronger prospects in the class. Left handed hitter, open stance with a limited shift into contact, rotational swing with occasional drift into contact, can improve lower half use, calm and balanced swing approach, ball comes off the barrel very hard and loud when squared, hands are very strong at contact, big power potential. Offense ahead of defense at present, has nice arm strength but tends to stand up to throw, accurate throws, size has a chance to become an future issue in his quickness and flexibility behind the plate. Good student, verbal commitment to Notre Dame.
