Jake Riffee is a 2016 OF/RHP with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Melbourne, FL who attends Melbourne HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength, projects physically. 7.28 runner, has sound clean actions in the outfield, works through the ball well, gets on line carry on his throws with a quick release, projectable arm action. Right handed hitter, open stance with a leg lift trigger, moves into contact well, has quick hands and has some bat speed, attacks the baseball aggressively, has some uppercut and lift to his swing and will create top spin, pulls the ball hard, nice overall hitter. Also pitched, fastball up to 83 mph, pounds the zone with his fastball, mostly straight, flashed a curveball and change up, has potential on the mound. Excellent student.
