Adam Kerner is a 2017 C/2B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Agoura Hills, CA who attends Oaks Christian HS. Compact athletic build, has some present strength. 6.77 runner, very athletic and fast for a catcher and it shows defensively, quick release and feet, strong arm, makes accurate throws with good lower half fundamentals, 1.84 best pop time, has a chance to be a high level defender behind the plate. Right handed hitter, balanced open stance, high hand load with a leg lift trigger, has quick hands, rotational upper half swing, straight hand path to the ball, stays inside the ball, mechanical swing. Defense will carry for now. Good student, verbal commitment to San Diego.
