LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2006 National Showcase
Kyle Greenwalt is a 2007 right hand pitcher from Souderton HS, residing in Harleysville, PA. He has a 6'0" 195 lb. frame that is broad in his core and potentially quite strong all over. Expect him to continue to firm up as he matures. Greenwalt is a fun one to watch pitch and not only that, he is talented and ranked #28 among the PG National Top 85 pitchers. He comes at hitters very aggressively and has aggressive stuff. Greenwalt pitches from an over the top slot and has a very quick arm, with a short arm stroke that actually makes his stuff appear to get on hitters even quicker than it does. His delivery is simple though with pretty high effort in that arm stroke. More often than not, a closer comes to mind when watching Greenwalt. He pitches with an 88-91 mph FB and will touch above. A hard 76-81 mph CB complements his FB. He gets plus tilt on the CB, with 11/5 shape. Generally he uses the CB as an out pitch, and it is effective for that purpose. He is a high energy competitor his team can rally behind and one that opposing hitters know they have to be ready to compete against. He may not get a ton of pro interest due to his status as a 6'0" righty, but he should have his pick of D1 programs.
