Emanuel Fernandez is a 2017 LHP/1B with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Lake Worth, FL who attends Park Vista Community HS. Fernandez has a large frame with some strength. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action. His arm works well and the ball comes out of his hand clean. Fernandez has good arm speed and he has projectable velocity. He uses a balanced online delivery and works downhill well. Fernandez has a clean delivery and was able to repeat it. He throws an 1/7 curveball with tight spin and some shape. He showed feel for his curveball and gets sink on his change up at 70 MPH. Fernandez is a pitchability lefty with more velocity coming. At the plate, he starts with a wide base with a low hand set. He uses a leg lift load and has an aggressive approach. He showed good bat speed and made consistent barrel contact. Good student, named to Top Prospect Team.
