Michael Reid is a 2014 OF/RHP with a 6-4 185 lb. frame from Detroit, MI who attends Bishop Foley Catholic HS. Slender young build, long levers, lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, late pull back load, swings hard and looks to drive the ball, good raw bat speed, long aggressive swing with good extension and lift out front, hits to all fields and has some leverage at contact, power approach. 7.26 runner, young outfield actions, has raw arm strength but tends to throw uphill, low elbow release, also plays first base. Has some potential as a two-way prospect, full loose arm action, arm works well, works downhill from a 3/4's release point. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, mostly straight but showed good command, definitely has more velocity in there with additional strength, flashed good spin on an upper 60's curveball. Excellent student, signed with Air Force.
