Zack Plunkett is a 2014 C with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Hurst, TX who attends L.D. Bell HS. Big strong physical build, fairly mature physically. Shows good quickness for his size behind the plate, compact exchange and release, high release, very good arm strength with accuracy, 1.86 best pop time. Right handed hitter, open spread stance, low hand start, long pull oriented swing with dropped back shoulder, has power and lift in his swing, good bat speed, has the strength to drive the ball from a more balanced approach. Outstanding student.
