James Dawson Terrell III is a 2015 OF/SS with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Fairfield, CA who attends St Patrick-St. Vincent HS. Slender young athletic build, lots of room to get stronger. 6.65 runner, plays both infield and outfield, graded out better in the infield at this event. Shows good range in the infield, light on his feet with quick actions to the ball, will tend to wait back on the ball but best on the move, soft hands, good arm strength with some carry. Young outfield actions, tends to throw uphill, extra steps in his footwork, has the physical tools to play centerfield with repetitions and coaching. Right handed hitter, uses hands well at the plate, quick hands that create bat speed, works gap to gap with some pop when squared, consistent square contact. Verbal commitment to Fresno State.
