Quinn Brodey is a 2014 LHP/OF with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends Loyola HS. Strong athletic build, fairly mature physically. Outstanding two-way prospect. Simple leg raise delivery on the mound, high 3/4's arm slot, plus downhill angle to the plate, really repeats well and pounds the strike zone. Upper 80's fastball, touched 90 mph, big running action at times, cuts other times. Slurve type breaking ball, did not throw change up but have seen plus change up at other times. 6.73 runner, solid outfield actions, good footwork, quick to the ball, good arm strength with a quick release. Left handed hitter, balanced swing with good body control, clean easy swing from a spread stance, has lift in his swing, good timing, keeps it simple and direct, very good game at bats, was on everything with feel for the barrel. Like a bit better as a position prospect but a "10" level prospect on both sides of the ball. Outstanding student, verbal commitment to Stanford.
