Landon Hughes is a 2013 RHP/1B with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Sprayberry HS. Tall slender build, good physical projection. Multi-piece delivery, back turn with big separation, opens very early, head/body come off plate on release. Upper 70's fastball, touched 80 mph, fastball gets good cutting action at times, nice change up, maintains arm speed well, slow curveball, difficult to spin ball with present mechanics. Arm works well, can improve with strength and mechanical adjustments. Right handed hitter, moves into contact well, contact approach, tends to fly open similar to pitching delivery, occasional hard pull contact.
