Grayson Long is a 2012 RHP/OF with a 6-6 205 lb. frame from Baytown, TX who attends Barbers Hill HS. Tall angular build, long limbs, lots of room to add strength. Easy balanced delivery, long smooth arm action, high 3/4's release point, throws downhill, low effort actions. Fastball to 91 mph, mostly straight but spots the ball down in the zone consistently. Potential plus change up, good arm speed and location, some late sink. Tends to slow arm on soft spinning slider, lacks power to breaking ball. Fastball, change up and command all project to potential plus tools, development of a workable breaking ball will be the key to his development. Good student, verbal commitment to Texas A&M.
