2003 Western Underclass Showcase
Walton is a live bodied young athlete with good speed (6.92 in the 60) and quick actions. He really hit the ball well in Peoria. Walton hits from a straight up stance but maintains good balance and showed a good ability to hit balls down in the zone solidly to all fields. Walton’s the type of player who coaches will like hitting at the top of the line up because he’s going to put the ball in play hard and run fast. Walton’s arm strength is good and he should be able to play any outfield position well. He has the potential to play at a very high level. Kent is a very good student.
