Rian Gardner is a 2025 RHP/1B with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Plymouth, MA who attends Plymouth North. Longer, lean frame with broad shoulders and excellent pitchers build with time and room to add physicality. Primary position RHP, working with the full windup and a wider base from the middle of the rubber. Methodical delivery with solid mechanics, using chest high leg lift before breaking into a high 3/4 arm angle. Will get a bit early with front side but when in line at foot strike he filled up the zone at a high level. FB up to 81 mph with sinker type spin as the heater lived in the 78-82 range. CB with rolling 12-6 break in the upper-60s and peaking at 70 mph. Reps at 1B as well, moving well on his feet and showing solid feel for work around the bag. Longer arm action here with throws up to 79 mph to bags. RHH getting into his legs and well balanced to start. Tight handset and hanging trigger to build timing and energy. Lofted stroke with some impact when he maintains control of the barrel. Elite performer in the classroom.

Right Handed Hitting
Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
