Southwest Select Scout Notes

Cameron Lopez (2024, Gilbert, AZ) had a strong showing throughout pool play, reaching base six times, scoring three runs, and driving in another two. The uncommitted infielder showed quality feel for the barrel with the ability to produce hard hit contact often. Loose hands create barrel lag through the zone. A lofted path and good extension out front that allows for balls to be hit in the air consistently. Lopez shows quality power that plays to the pullside. The power should continue to develop as the frame adds more strength. It was an interesting showing from Lopez who has some upside at the plate.
