Jake Carbaugh (2026, Plant City, Fla.) took to the mound for FBH Angels 16U Grey and was downright exceptional. The long and lean right-hander was able to carve the opposition for 7 straight innings. He held them to 6 hits, walking none, striking out 12, and allowing just 1 earned run in the win. He had some deception from a three-quarters arm slot, hiding the ball well through the back. The uncommitted right-hander had a fastball working up into the low-80s with arm-side run, and a slurvy breaking ball with 11/5 & 10/4 shape to it that missed a ton of bats, helping him with his 12 punchouts. He sequenced well and kept the opposition at bay.
