Ashton Siwald (2023, Church Hill, Md.) got the weekend started with a 3-for-3 performance Thursday afternoon, as the Rawlings Prospects MD would jump out to a 9-3 win to get rolling in pool play. Getting play started with a bang, Siwald unloaded on a 1-2 breaking ball for a two-run homer to put the Rawlings Prospects on the board early in the bottom half of the first. During his next two trips to the plate, Siwald would continue to work through the middle of the field with singles as he continued to display feel for the barrel. The 6-foot, 180-pound third baseman utilized his long levers well to create lift through the zone as he displayed present strength and quickness to his hands that allowed him to generate tons of bat speed.
