14u WWBA Coastal Scout Notes

William Benson (2026, Raleigh, N.C.), a 6-foot-2, 170-pound left-handed hitting corner infielder, led TPA Nationals 14u Black offensively today with an impressive performance out of the three-spot. His excellent barrel awareness was on display this afternoon as he made consistent loud contact on all his swings. Benson has a tall, quite stance that allows him to effortlessly reach his launch position, from there he lets his hands work to and through the baseball creating hard back spun line drives.  His line this afternoon was 2-for-3 with a triple and one RBI. Benson has a projectable, tall, lean build that should continue to fill out as he matures and could lead to an increase in power, making him a very complete hitter from the left side.
