Brayden Charness (2026, Calabasas, Calif.) was electric on the mound for the ZT Prospects National. Pitched a four-inning shutout, had 5 strikeouts and didn’t give up any hits. The fastball sat 81-84 mph with good run. The fastball worked best at the top of the zone, generating a lot of swings and misses. The lefty mixed in a slider with slight spin and late break. There is a lot to like, and his ability to get quick outs was impressive. He features a slender, athletic build with plenty of room to add more muscle as he gets older.
