STIX 2023 Red Wins a Close One

Two talented clubs, the STIX 2023 Red and 5 Star Performance 16U National, met in the final game of the 2020 South Elite Fall Championship. Having battled through stiff competition and playing their third game of the day, each team mustered enough energy and found the focus to compete for seven well-played innings.

In the end, STIX Red found a couple of more runs and got a gritty performance from RHP, Lazaro Alvarado (2023, Arlington, TX) to secure a 4-2 win over a tough, determined, and skilled 5 Star National club.



Both of these teams certainly earned their place in the final game. They competed at a high level all weekend and ultimately played their best in the playoff rounds to get to the championship. By the slimmest of margins, the STIX team walked out of the Premier Baseball Complex with the big silver cup, emblematic of yet another Perfect Game Championship for the club from north Texas.

Congrats to both teams, for playing quality baseball all weekend long. Kudos to the coaching staffs of both teams for keeping their clubs focused and playing at an advanced level, especially during the three game push on Championship Sunday.

Finally, a big tip of the cap to this year’s South Elite Fall Champions, the STIX 2023 Red.
