8:00 AM
Gavin Howe led Turn 2 Baseball to a victory over MBA 04 by firing 4 hitless innings with 3 strikeouts. Turn 2 Baseball was paced at the plate by catcher Tyler Bouchard who went 2-for-3 with a double, 2 runs scored and 3 RBI's.

James Earle picked up the win on the mound for Palm Beach Select with 5 strong, scoreless innings of relief, while SS Nate Stafford went 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored in the 12-4 victory over Okeeheelee Tribe.

10:15 AM Turn 2 Baseball improved to 2-0 on the day with a 2-1 win over the Parkland Pokers behind the stellar performance of Joey Citrola. The right-hander fired 6 innings of 1 hit baseball with 10 strikeouts while going 2-for-3 at the plate with a run scored.

The Elite Squad Outlaws pounded out 9 hits in their first game of pool play on their way to a 10-2 win over the Palm Beach Select. 3B Daniel Cuvet (2-for-3, 2B, 2 R) and RF Anthony Fernandez (1-for-2, 2B, R, 3 RBI) led the Outlaws at the plate.

The Sarasota Vipers slugged their way to a 16-4 victory over the Okeeheelee Tribe in their first taste of tournament action. 1B Jonathon Gambino went a perfect 3-for-3 with a run scored and 3 RBI and 3B Tristan McGregor went 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored and 3 RBI for a Vipers team that tallied 12 hits in 4 innings.

Outkast Baseball Academy started their tournament off with a 12-7 win over MBA 04, who dropped to 0-2 in pool play. Isaiah Baez led Outkast at the plate, finishing 2-for-2 with a double, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI, while Brian O’Shea scored 3 runs and Ryan Metz added 3 RBI. Despite the loss, MBA 04 got an outstanding performance from Chris Carusso who went 2-for-3 with 2 doubles, 4 RBI and a run scored.

Omarius Davis came through in the clutch as his 3-run walk-off home run helped Swarm Black win their first game of pool play, downing the Parkland Pokers 10-7. Davis finished the game going 2-for-2 with a triple, home run, 2 runs scored and 4 RBI.

The Elite Squad Outlaws improved to 2-0 in pool play after dominating in a 16-2 victory over Swarm Gold. The Outlaws were led offensively by Devin Catoni who was 2-for-2 with 3 runs scored and an RBI, and Pablo Torres who was 1-for-2 with a double, 3 runs scored and 2 RBI.

Swarm Black downed Outkast Baseball Academy by a score of 11-4 to improve to 2-0 in pool play. SS Isaiah Myles led the Swarm’s offensive attack, finishing a perfect 3-for-3 with a double, 3 runs scored and an RBI. Jordan Stofko and Joseph Benigno each contributed a hit and 2 RBI for a Swarm team that totaled 10 hits in the game.

Swarm Gold rebounded in their second game of the day, with an 8-6 win over the Sarasota Vipers, making both teams 1-1 after day one of pool play. The Swarm tallied 9 hits in the contest and were led by Omar Cabrera who was 3-for-3 with 2 runs scored and an RBI. Travis Mora got all but the final out, with 4.2 strong innings to earn the win. Dalton Porter collected 2 hits and Tristan McGregor drove in a pair of runs for the Vipers in the loss.
