KC Fall Softball Scouting Combine Morning Session
Jesenia Solis is a 5'4, class of 2026 OF/IF from Lee’s Summit, MO who attends Lees Summit HS. Jesenia is an up and coming player who shows a solid fundamental foundation and a unique ability to play, competently, a number of positions on the field. She ran a solid 3.43 20-yard dash with an even more impressive 1.11 5-yard explosive burst split. A primary OF, Jesenia shows solid, very projectable actions. She reads the ball off the bat well and positions quickly and confidently. She plays through the fielding action with gathering momentum and her smooth glove is clean and easy. She has a quicker transition and her 53-mph throws are firm and accurate. On the dirt, Jesenia's first step quickness is again very apparent. She positions well and her glovework is consistent. Her transition is routine and her 50-mph throws are consistently accurate. At the plate, this LHH is a skilled bunter and with her speed, this ability should definitely be a big part of her offensive game moving forward. She starts in a balanced stance and has more of an inside-out path, seeing pitches deep in the zone. She is more opposite field oriented in and with her path. She gets her barrel to and through contact with some force and as her career continues, there appears to be potential for a power element. Solid approach that she looks to be very comfortable with. Jesenia is a certain prospect with big upside should she continue to work with diligence and focus on her craft. She has both the positive body language and apparent plus attitude to be successful . Upside potential is evident. High ceiling! Bright future!
