Daniel Perez is a 2022 C with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Granada Hills, CA who attends Granada Hills Charter. Medium frame with a stocky build showing strength throughout the frame. Ran a 7.71 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, sitting down in his stance in an athletic position. Reaching for the baseball at times before working into a quick transfer on throw downs. Gains ground and releases uphill to target. Accurate around the bag as he recorded a pop time of 1.96 seconds. Feel for the position throwing and projects well here going forward as he is fundamentally sound. Right-Handed Hitter, starting even and slightly open with his front side. Leg lift to stride as he lands back on his front side. Longer swing path as he looks to let the baseball get deep before squaring it up. Proved he could drive it to all fields and has power in the bat when he gets the bat head out front. Outstanding Student.
