Maddox Rice is a 2028 SS/RHP/C with a 5-5 125 lb. frame from Jefferson, GA who attends Jackson County. Smaller frame with a lean, athletic build. Ran a 8.57 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, lateral range present with feel for the position showing. Scoops it up out front while carrying momentum to target. Quick transfer and release. Throws up to 66 mph with accuracy. Fundamentally sound and will make big strides as he matures. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, simple actions with a short side step to lift. Drops and drives while staying athletic in the motion. Full arm swing and released from a high three-quarter slot while staying direct to dish. Fastball up to 74 mph with spin rates peaking at 1681 rpm. Feel to spin and land the breaking ball as well. Low-60's with spin rates up to 2003 rpm. Filled up the zone and was confident in his actions. Right-Handed Hitter, narrow base with an upright stance. Lower hand set. Knee lift trigger to stride as he creates separation. Level cut as he goes after it with full intent. Gap to gap approach while proving he could drive it into both.
