2022 PG Softball Winter Scouting Combine - Iowa
Addyson McKillip is a 5-foot-8, class of 2025 RHP/1B, 2B, OF from Iowa City, IA who attends City High School. Addyson is a young and emerging, fundamentally sound player, who shows promise and more than one position. In addition to her noticeable ability on the diamond, Addyson is also a stellar student in the classroom. She ran a 6.03 40-yard dash and was timed at 4.02 from HP to 1B. She also posted a 6'1 standing broad jump. A primary RHP, Addyson is, first and foremost, a strike thrower. She shows sound command of four projectable pitches. She works her fastball to both edges. Her change shows depth and is a great off-speed offering that works well off the FB. Her screwball is her better breaking pitch and shows plus movement. especially to the arm side edge. Her curveball is an evolving pitch that shows average spin right now and should continue to develop as her career progresses. Addyson also took a turn in the OF. She is a head's up, very vocal player who shows great anticipatory ability. She has very quick feet and positions readily. She plays through the fielding action with positive momentum. Her longer arm action allows her 51-mph throws to be routinely accurate. At the plate, this RHH shows a sound ability for the short game and can work bunts to both lines. She has a wider base at the ready and creates noticeable leverage in and with her swing operation. There is some steepness to her plane and when she impacts the ball squarely, it travels. When she develops just a bit more consistency, she is going to be a force with the stick. Her strength and ability to impact the ball is encouraging. Addyson has the right idea. As she matures physically, adds strength, and is exposed to higher level competition, her game should take off. Her foundation is sound. Her future is bright!
