Carson McEntire is a 2023 OF/C/1B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Peoria, AZ who attends Mountain Ridge. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame, has room to fill throughout moving forward. Fast-twitch, posted a 6.36 60-yard dash. Primary outfield, smooth actions on the approach to and through the baseball, shows carry on throws to intended base, does a nice job of working through the baseball and showing clean glove skills. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance, gains ground well moving into swing and stays connected, creates whip with hands. Bat speed through the zone stands out, found consistency throughout round of BP, can get hands moving early at start of swing, intriguing tools on both sides to follow moving forward. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Oregon State.
