2021 Puerto Rico Workout Showcase
Adriel Vega Santiago is a 2022 SS/2B, 3B, OF with a 5-11 163 lb. frame from Caguas, PR who attends Leadership Christian Academy. Medium height with an athletic look and lots of room to grow. Ran a 6.97 in the sixty yard dash. A primary infielder, rounds the ball well with good glove positioning out front and a two handed funnel. Soft hands and a very good arm across the diamond. Feet and arm work well and can stay at shortstop. Also worked out in the outfield displaying athletic actions and very good carry, could play infield or outfield at the next level. A right-handed hitter, wider base with higher hands to start. Gets on plane early with quickness to the stroke. Lots of jump off the barrel and drove balls to all fields. Can space and lift to the pull side. Excellent upside on both sides of the ball. Very good student.
