2022 13U/14U Ohio Valley Prospect Showcase
Ricky Maschinot is a 2027 C/RHP/OF/UT with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Cincinnati, OH who attends Moeller. Slender athletic build. 7.78 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up low and flexible, gains ground well into his throws with some idea on his footwork, gets on top of the ball throwing and makes accurate throws, solid catching tools. Also showed his athleticism well in the outfield, moves through the ball well and makes accurate one hop throws. Right handed hitter, starts from a narrow and balanced stance has a leg lift trigger to start his swing, puts the ball in the air consistently and projects power, tends to lose his hips early in his swing. Also pitched, drop and drive mechanics with a high 3/4's arm slot, gets extended well out front. Fastball worked up to 74 mph, has good arm speed and repeats his mechanics, fastball was well commanded to both sides of the plate. Also threw a nice slider that he located well. Good young athlete with two-way potential. Named to the 13U/14U Ohio Valley Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
