Michael Young is a 2021 C/1B, OF with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Montgomery, AL who attends Next Level Academy. Large frame with very slender, narrow build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.47 seconds. Hits from narrow, staggered-base stance, big bar and separation in hands, intent is to drive the baseball, low hands, gets barrel moving uphill, needs to get into lower half more, will improve with strength gains. Primary catcher, shows athleticism in footwork, quick transfer, good arm strength, throws downhill well, clocked up to 80 mph. Also threw 84 mph from the outfield. Good student.
