Julio Rivera is a 2022 OF/LHP with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Fayetteville, NC who attends South View. Slender young build with lots of room to fill out and get stronger. 7.23 runner in the sixty, is aggressive to the ball in the outfield, has a loose and projectable arm and makes accurate on line throws with developing arm strength, good overall outfield fundamentals. Left handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a good lower half shift into contact, gets into his hips well, sound base swing that will continue to improve as he gets stronger. Also pitched, arm works well on the mound with good extension through release. Fastball topped out at 79 mph, showed some spin and power to his curveball. Good student.
