Tom Echols is a 2022 RHP/3B/OF with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from Warrenton, NC who attends Kerr-Vance Academy. Large athletic build with lots of physical project and room to get stronger. Simple side step delivery with good tempo and balance at his gather point, works down the mound well with a well timed arm circle in back, 3/4's arm slot, has good arm speed coming through. Fastball topped out at 86 mph, more velocity there as he physically matures, fastball gets both cut and run on it at different times. Slider was his best pitch, has good velocity and power with late biting action and some depth, got swing and miss on the slider. Very good student. Named to the Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
