Coren Lewis is a 2022 MIF/RHP, SS, OF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Jersey Village. Medium, athletic frame with some present strength to frame and additional room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.45 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, young actions in the infield, fields the ball out front, longer release with a full arm action working to a three-quarters release; similar arm stroke from the outfield, deliberate tempo to actions, waits back on the ball, carry on throws will continue to develop. Also pitched, small rock step into a belt high leg lift, shorter stride coming down the mound, loose arm action with a three-quarters release point. Worked around the zone well, fastball topped out at 77 mph and attacks hitters; keeps them off balance with feel for curveball, short shape up to 62 mph. Righthanded hitter, begins with an upright and narrow base; utilizes a simple leg lift trigger. Rotational swing, works on a linear path through the zone, contact oriented approach. Long and loose swing, can implement additional lower half into swing, gets uphill with path at times. Very good student.
