Andrew Gault is a 2020 3B/RHP with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Lockport, NY who attends Lockport. Large frame with long limbs and present strength. Primary third baseman with clean footwork while ranging for and surrounding the baseball. Funnels from a slightly deeper position and worked through exchange with loose, efficient transfers. Created accurate carry to the back from a compact arm slot topping at 79 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and simple leg lift trigger. Coils hands slightly at load and worked to contact on an inside path. Looked to created separation through the zone and flashed solid bat speed when on time. Flashed the ability to turn the barrel to baseball and generate sharp contact to pull side. Also pitched showing a small side step to high leg lift delivery. Stays flexed on back side at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Lands in line with the plate and carries momentum well. Clean arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball jumped out of hand well created some run to arm side with occasional sink in the mid 70's, topped at 78 miles per hour. Maintained arm speed with an 11/5 curveball that flashed tight spin with shorter depth in the mid 60's. Consistently looked to challenge the bottom quadrants of the zone and induced weak contact.
